London: up high with the Canter

South London - based TAH Access Platform has extended its fleet of vehicles to include another 7.5 tonne Fuso Canter. The robust and compact light-duty truck is used for transporting a tracked machine.

The customer particularly appreciates the Canter's high payload and its durability. In addition, the Canter also scores with a small turning circle when negotiating tight construction sites. Mark Derek, Managing Director of TAH Access Platform UK, points out that his company has been using the reliable Fuso Canter models for more than 20 years. They have more than proved their value on the road and on construction sites in and around London transporting mobile access platforms.

The Fuso Canter 7C18 is powered by a 3.0-litre common-rail turbodiesel engine with 129 kW (175 hp) and a maximum torque of 430 Nm.

The smooth-shifting dual-clutch Duonic transmission with parking and creeping functions contributes to fuel efficiency and the reduction of maintenance costs. The vehicle offers a payload allowance of 3410 kg – that is around 1000 kg more than from a similarly equipped conventional 7.5-tonner. Thus TAH Access Platform can also transport the tools and necessary equipment together with the mobile access platform which weighs around 3000 kilogrammes.
